What is Sanskrit?
- Sanskrit is the classical language of Indian and liturgical language of Hinduism and Buddhism. Sanskrit means “refined” or “sanctified”. Today Sanskrit is used mainly in Hindu religious rituals. Sanskrit has also been written with the Latin alphabet.
